Our History

Sign and Badge is the amalgamation of five trading names, All-Type Signs & Badges, Personalised Signs, Classic Heritage Signs, Rite Signs & Lettering and Waverley Trophies & Engraving. Initially established in 1966, our combined production resources allows for the manufacture of the entire range of identifying products, including building signs, name badges and recognition awards. Our staff and management team have many years of experience in engraving, sign manufacture, badge making and shop fitting products as well as corporate awards and promotional products.

1966

RITE Signs & Lettering

Founded by Alan Wright, Rite Signs operated for over 40 years with great success and prominence in the Melbourne sign industry. Today we still service customers of Rite Signs.

1980s

All-Type Signs & Badges

Founded by David Brewster, All Type Signs & Badges was a leading manufacturer in lasercut and engraved badges as well as an early adopter of digital print and computerised engraving technologies. We still service many badges customers of All Type.

2007

The Sign & Badge Centre

Merging of RITE Signs and All Type Signs & Badges. This allowed for the combined experienced teams to produce a wider range of product offerings all under one roof. Situating both businesses in Bayswater where we are still located today.

2018

Sign and Badge

Rebrand to Sign and Badge with continued development in manufacturing methods. Focus on growth within the commercial and residential construction industries.
